In the work Apocalypse – Me, Kira dissolves into a vertiginous cycle of fears, idols, and dreams, consumed by the incessant flow of hyperconnectivity. Her routine was swallowed by the addiction to staying online, while time, fragmented and accelerated, seems to reduce to mere fifteen seconds—the exact duration of a viral moment, a story, a projected identity.

The cult of digital figures becomes her strength and her prison: a virtual idol is not just a reference but an absolute guide that determines her desires, actions, and emotions. Kira inhabits a space where the line between personal life and digital presence dissolves, where the narrative she consumes defines not only what she believes but who she is.
What happens when the idol becomes the greatest fear?
The digital environment, orchestrated by algorithms that prioritize engagement over human experience, stimulates an incessant consumption of content where quantity overcomes quality. The standardized aesthetics dictate the rules of the game, and Kira, like so many others, gets lost in a labyrinth of comparisons, idealizations, and fabricated self-image.

Kira created a universe where her frustrations and anxieties were relegated to a hidden tab, invisible even to herself. The bubble she inhabits filters her perception of reality, transforming her reflection into a digital spectrum manipulated by unrealistic expectations. She consumes and is consumed—her identity no longer belongs to her but to the screen.
No one is what they seem. You only believe what your screen allows you to see?
In Apocalypse – Me, the screen is not just a medium but a psychological device, a metaphor for the dissolution of individuality in the face of the mechanics of digital desire. The work questions the limits between influence and submission, between identity and projection, between freedom and the invisible imprisonment of a world filtered by pixels and algorithmic promises.
