Virtual Mermaids is a poetic exploration of visual seduction in the digital environment. Inspired by the myth of sirens, this work examines how carefully edited and strategically crafted images act as a hypnotic song, capturing attention and influencing consumer decisions.
In the vastness of the digital ocean, where the internet forms a sea of infinite possibilities, seduction occurs not through sound but through the glow of images. The promise of exclusivity, the illusion of desire, and persuasive visual narratives lead the viewer into a state of involuntary immersion. Time, privacy, and choices become currency in this game of aesthetic manipulation, where visual enchantment disguises the consequences of hyper-visibility and excessive consumption.
This work invites reflection on how we are drawn into this flow, navigating between seductive promises and illusory rewards, often without perceiving the deeper layers of this digital enchantment.
